Ikea Roasting Pan

Recently I had a brand new addition to my family. Introducing my spanking new Ikea Roasting Pan which I am absolutely in love with.

The first time I roasted a chicken, I used a tray and found that the skin didn't brown as well as I had hoped. Then came my quest to find a pan with a rack so that the juices could drip down. I knew the next time I roasted a chicken I just had to have that gadget. My sis recommended this and today it sits in my kitchen waiting for more action to come.

I don't go mad for Ikea products, but I do realise I have mentioned them quite a bit on this blog including this double boiler which I use to melt baking chocolate and butter whenever I bake plus this white serving dish which just makes anything I place on it look super pretty.

So what did I roast in my brand new roasting pan?

Recipe up soon.

I actually bought this when it came out but had to returned the next day because it was 2cm too wide for my oven T_T so sad. Your roast chicken looks perfect, look forward to the recipe :)

Sonia: Yup - the double boiler works well and so does this roasting pan.

noobcook: I got a scare initially because mine didn't seem like it could fit too until I turned down the holders and it slid in perfectly!

Thanks Kristy for stopping by. Ikea over here in Malaysia during weekends is a mad house. My husband and I made a rare trip there on a Sat to get the pan. However it was not so bad:-)

Looks awesome! I once roasted a turkey using the conventional roasting pan, without the part to allow the juices to flow...but I MUST try it with this gadget of yours.
Better yet, can I come over to eat your roast chicken? :)

I love this roasting pan too. Like Noobcook, my oven can't fit in. So sad!! I bought a muffin tray from IKEA before but need to return it as it was too big. :(
